Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs)

To achieve the European Artificial intelligence (AI) strategy’s aim to optimise development and deployment of AI, the European Commission introduced AI Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) in the Digital Europe programme.

Check out an FAQ on sectorial Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP), which serves to clarify the concept and funding process. Expected outcomes of this call would include increased higher agri-food sector resilience, mitigation of the environmental impact of agricultural activity to soil, water and biodiversity, greater resource and cost efficiency and competitiveness in agricultural production, helping to optimise the use of natural resources for instance through supporting a decrease in input and the impact of the use of e.g. water, fertilizer or pesticides to the environment.

Application Deadline: 17th May 2022. More information can be found here.
